Severe winter conditions are impacting our network across Canada

Affected areas

In southern British Columbia, Rogers Pass—a vital link to the rest of Canada—is undergoing a multi-day closure for avalanche control, effectively severing the main transport artery to the rest of the country.

Alerts remain active in the Prairie provinces, Ontario and Quebec:

  • Yesterday's freezing rain in northern Alberta and Saskatchewan has moved on to Manitoba. While roads have improved, shipments in the prairie provinces can expect delays.
  • In Ontario, a major accident on the 401 yesterday caused significant transit delays for shipments moving through the province.
  • In northern Quebec, heavy snow and ongoing storms continue to impact the Abitibi region.
  • Additionally, rapid temperature changes in rural areas have created hazardous road surfaces, further affecting service.
